Let's hope it's only a week. Where's Paul Hoover when you need him?

(That's only half in jest. Hoover of course is in the Phillies organization but like Ronnie Paulino, if cut and he'll take a minor league assignment I'd love to see him in NO as an emergency catcher type.)

Hoover's actually getting walk-off hits in Clearwater...Of course, getting walk-off hits in spring training does mean you're really a scrub, right?

I'm hoping to see more of Hayes this week. Last ST he looked pretty good behind the plate but had next to nothing with the bat.

Off comment, sorta......Met Hatcher's g/f at Saturday's game (love that southern draaaawwwwlllll, lol). She says he's hoping for AAA this season. He did lay down a pretty nice bunt in the 10th with no outs that moved the runners to 2nd and 3rd and made them walk the next guy and then bring the OF in. Of course, Luna ended it. There's a kid to keep an eye on.

maybin got injured (groin). does anyone have a return time for him??

Latest update is a few days without baseball activities then probably back in games by the end of the week. Obviously the team is being very careful with him.
