What are the chances of the Pirates not carrying him and us getting him back? Would Fredi think bout using him as the 4th OF'er? Also is there any chance Bryan Peterson makes the team? He has been pretty decent so far this spring.

Just want to add, from articles, it's sounds more of that the FO is infatuated with Brian Barden. I don't think Fredi has too much input on actual roster construction, that's left up to Beinfest and co. And just expanding on Raynor, if they viewed him as a 4th OFer for this coming season they would have protected him in the Rule 5 draft. If we are returned Raynor, he'll go to NOLA.

Barden had a really good spring to be sure but the guy who is really infatuated with him is Tosca, not Fredi.

100% agree. I dont see how Barden doesnt make the team, Fredi loves him

All the articles I've read say that we don't specifically need a 4th OF because we are not going to need to replace Coghlan-Maybin-Ross for defensive purposes like we did with Hermida last year. And in the days they need an off day, the team seems to think Barden or Bonifacio can play the OF.
