Gaby Sanchez

Do you guys think that Sanchez will earn himself a move up in the order if he continues to hit well and show good plate discipline? Or do you think he fits well in that 8-spot and that the Marlins should not mess with what works?

Personally I would like to see him batting in Uggla's spot and move Uggla down.

Dont mess with what works. Right now he's doing great. Other guys like Coghlan and Uggla need to pick themselves up and we will be an offensive powerhouse.

Keep him where he is. It's a long season. Players will be hot and cold. I remember a few years back Uggla got real hot and could hit everything...basically carried us through that month by himself.

All I well say about Gaby Sanchez so far for this season is that I love his ABs. He really shows good plate disciplines, fights off pitches and contributes to driving pitch counts up. If the team as a whole can do that then we can start seeing the likes of Santana, Halladay, Hanson, Hamels etc. out of games in the 6th inning and be able to dig into those bullpens.

I would consider moving him up. Ramirez and Cantu have been swinging the bat well. They need the #1 and #2 guys to be getting on base. The results have been a bit underwhelming.

Since Coghlan has been struggling with the bat so horribly and has even acknowledged that he doesn't feel ready, I think he should be dropped to the number eight spot and Maybin should be hitting lead-off with Gaby in the two spot.

This is what I would be doing until Coghlan gets his act together.
