I can normally see the games that fall within the Fox window

 

Is that a UK thing or a MLB TV glitch?

 

UK thing plus other countries outside of the USA (And Canada I assume)

 

What often happens is that the video is as normal, however they put radio commentary onto the feed. I remember once, possibly a Marlins game at the Trop where the camera was at an atrocious angle so all you could see was home plate side-on so didn't really have any idea when the pitch was coming in.

So Rich and Tommy never call the whole game in these instances? I wonder what audio feed FS Florida uses for the replays of the game later tonight.

 

I thought they only used the radio feed when the game wasn't being carried period by either team. That usually happens once or twice a season and it is a separate issue from the Fox blackout.

Don't know if it will turn out to mean anything but it dawned on me a minute ago that one blessing in disguise of the postponement was it happened pre-game so it wasn't the usual-Miami four hour delay-gotta get the game in-starting the third inning at 1am kind of game, so everyone gets a good nights sleep and Ricky didn't lose a turn warming up last night either.

Average Denver rainfall during the bulk of the season is less than it is for most of the Northeastern cities with parks that don't have roofs. The only real concern would be the chance of snowfall in April. Denver weather patterns are unusual and sporadic but the city isn't constantly being drenched with rain.

 

I think a retractable roof there, considering the enormous extra costs that would have been required to build one, would be overkill. In addition to the costs, some cities refrain from building roofs because they can in some cases require a larger footprint for construction.

 

 

Not the case in Denver. They had the room. It's the weather issue you started this post with. Not just the rain, but the temps and humidity as well. BTW ?"chance of snowfall in April" is an understatement. In years past I moved back to Denver the first week of June. Right into a snowstorm.

 

And to be honest with ourselves, the rain isn't really the factor here either. It has been a very good excuse for people to not attend games, but not realistic. Last year was more of an anomoly than anything. Check our rain delays and postponed games over the years for proof of this. I would bet there are less than a handful of teams with open air stadiums that have less than we do. It rains in the afternoons with many thunderstorms, but not in the evenings so much. We could have gotten away without one, but because of the afternoon games I'm glad we didn't take that option. And the fact it deletes one more excuse of why not to go to games.

they probably moved sunday to give players extra time after DH. may be a mlbpa contract stipulation, just guessing.

 

 

They changed it because the Rockies have a memorial service before Sunday's game for Keli Mcgregor.

 

Now that you mention it, I did read that someplace. Very classy of them. And I would imagine the Marlins would have to had okayed it. Not that any team wouldn't.
