Nope, I'm taking Morneau over Miggie. They are both good choices but Morneau is hitting for a higher clip, getting on-base a bunch more, and slugging just under.

And Braun probably doesn't deserve to be in the ASG at all this year, much less a starter. (No, he's not having a bad season, but he's not up there with the top 5 LFers in the league.)

Also, as far as Olivo goes, he just hasn't had enough ABs for my liking. Besides that he has been the best C in the league.

Come on Rab. M Cabs is on a triple crown pace. He's a sure fire starter if they went simply by the numbers.

He's a good pick, I don't see a problem with it, but I'm going with the guy who gets on-base more.

The numbers Miggie's leading Morneau in are slugging, HR, and that team stat they call RBI.

Morneau's leading Miggie in BA, in OBP, and in OPS.

So really, offensively, they've been pretty equal. Add to the fact that defensively Morneau is much much better than Miggie (leaps and bounds), and Morneau is the better pick in my opinion.

Oh, and Miggie's not on pace for the triple crown, he's nowhere near Cano in the batting race (and he's behind Morneau).

I don't want to have this argument for the 87th time but I want to point out that Miguel has more RBIs than Morneau because he's beast at driving in runners on base and Morneau is not.

So far this season Morneau has 32 RBIs out of 219 runners on (14.6%) while Miguel has 41 RBIs out of 213 runners on (19.2%).

Including homers, Miguel has 13 more RBIs with 6 fewer runners on base.
