The 2010 All-Star Futures Game rosters were announced today, and Marlins prospects Osvaldo Martinez and Logan Morrison were both selected for the game. Morrison will play for the US team, and Martinez for the World team.

That's a real big honor for Osvaldo. Completely overlooked coming into the season.

 

Osvaldo has really slowed down in June, .254/.338/.366, but if he can do that slash line in the bigs and bring infield defense, that's the Amezaga replacement.

 

Love that .804 OPS on the year, 38/33 BB/K though.

Logan's a no-brainer.

I was following Ossie during Stanton Watch and I have to say this was well deserved. He was constantly on base for GC Mike and always came up big. And remember he's coming back from an off-season where he was shot three times.

 

And obviously LoMo had to be there.

Osvaldo. SO GOOD!

I'd have no problem having him up as our backup Middle IF rather then Barden.
