Anybody else think Russell Martin may have enough left in the tank to warrent a one year flyer on? I know we signed Buck, but Martin has played 3B/C/1B in his career I believe and could possibly be a 5 game a week guy for us.

Plus, he's 26 or 27. What do you fellas think?

This is what the Dodgers have in mind for him according to MLBTraderumors.com

"“They want to continue discussions with the idea that Russ could come back and catch, play second base and third and a little bit out of outfield to see if he likes something like that in the event he ever wants to transition from behind the plate, Colleran said."

The past 2 years he hasn't contributed much at all with his bat. I would rather spend any money we have left elsewhere.

I view him being a great fallback at many positions. If he actually played 2B before, it's worth it.

Fallback at C, 2B, 3B, and an OF spot.

He's not nearly athletic enough to play 2b

No.

He's going to catch for a big contender, like the Yankees, and cost way more than what is worth.
