floridafly
That's ridiculous. I know umpires have their games reviewed every night, right? I wonder how that meeting will go tonight lol.
AeroFishOne
That has to be fake right? Haha, I guaranty Stevie wonder could call a better game. Supposedly Bob davidson blew an interference call the otter day in an ANgels game an I think it lost the game indirectly.
poptart
I didn't catch the game on TV, but I was watching the gamecast live (I got Dempster on my fantasy team). my jaw just kept dropping lower and lower to the floor. surprised the guy didn't call that 5th pitch a strike. mystikol87
That's amazing. Put it on twitter or something, I bet it spreads a bit.
bobbob1313
PitchF/X data doesn't match up with that very well: http://www.brooksbaseball.net/pfxVB/pfx.php?s_type=3&sp_type=1&batterX=53&month=04&day=11&game=gid_2011_04_11_chnmlb_houmlb_1%2F&year=2011&pitchSel=133225&prevGame=gid_2011_04_11_chnmlb_houmlb_1%2F I'm gonna guess ESPN's pitch tracker doesn't use Pitch F/X? The Pitchf/x data for Dempster on this game doesn't appear too bad. Pretty consistent: http://www.brooksbaseball.net/pfxVB/pfx.php?s_type=3&sp_type=1&batterX=0&month=04&day=11&game=gid_2011_04_11_chnmlb_houmlb_1%2F&year=2011&pitchSel=133225&prevGame=gid_2011_04_11_chnmlb_houmlb_1%2F Wasn't super consistent on pitches to the umpire's right on the bottom half of the plate, but that's to be expected, really. I'd guess that's the spot most umps have trouble with.
heat84
In other Gamecast weirdness, the NBA version says team offensive rebound whenever somebody misses the first(of the two) FT.
