They don't have to accept her as anything when there's an actual case to be made about her gender. What's wrong with you people trying to force others to see someone a certain way? They perceived her to be a man because she has a damn penis and a manly jawline and physique. You're saying they hate her because they can't respect her wishes to be considered a woman? Are you f***ing kidding me, lol? It doesn't work that way and the fact that this law wants to try to do so so badly is a shame and an insult to what the law should be. Equal protection under the law should mean equal protection, and in this case it isn't. If these women were to attack a man in the same fashion for doing the exact same thing, both crimes should hold the same weight because both crimes would obviously have been committed under the same pretenses. If the difference between them is that one is a tranny and the other isn't, then the fact that one is a tranny couldn't possibly be the reason for the attack. It just makes no sense.

I think you are really hung up on the word "hate." the law doesn't need to determine that you actually have some deep seated dislike of someone. You're really, really misunderstanding what is going on with that law.

But, again, is their status as a minority group the reason if this a man were to receive the same assault in that same situation by that same group? I don't see how two separate incidents with the same outcome should hold different weight. If the difference between one incident and the other is their sexuality, then you can't pin the reason for the attack on the sexuality.

If she identifies as a woman and is considered to be in the eyes of the law, then their perception of her as a man is irrelevant. The attack is directly motivated by their ignorance and refusal to accept her gender identity. She should absolutely be protected here under this law.
