I like Jack, but I'd almost have to think McKeon's just plain too old at this point.

 

May as well just hire Bo Porter and get it over with so we don't have to scream about the idea any more. Season's most likely shot anyway, give him the rest of the season while Loria figures out who will be his guy to open the stadium with.

VERY doubtful. Jack will probably finish the season out. Or at the very least be here long enough so the FO can take their time wooing a new manager without all the media attention and false rumors that happened last season. And they will bring in somebody that has experience and is known as more of a hard ass. Two managers in a row have had no past experience and were too player friendly. I'm going to go on the idea that they have learned their lesson. Let the speculation begin on who that will be.

No this is a real team that had no leadership at the managerial position. They had a friend there instead. That just dosen't work.

Good example is LoMo and his stupid Twitter crap. Any manager in his right mind would have told him to knock it off months ago. Instead, it escalated into the FO having to get involved.

 

Jack would say something like "Are you a f***king bird? Stop tweeting, your job is to play LF and it depends on you paying attention to that and nothing else. Believe it or not, you're not in a popularity contest with some clown in Cincinnati. You don't like that, we'll get someone else to do your job."

 

McKeon is going to lay down the law in no uncertain terms, and as long as everyone gets it, they'll be fine. They can relax and play baseball. Same thing he did in '03.
