It sucks but its a classy gesture. He probably saw the writing on the wall and the front office lets him leave on his own accord since he's well liked.

I thought this meant "Edwin Re-signed" when I first read it. As in he got an extension. But this is the far more logical thing...

He'll get another gig as a MLB manager in the future. Probably a successful one as well.

Seriously, I feel like crap right now....just a month ago we were talking about re-signing him to a multi year deal.

I feel pretty bad for Edwin that it had to come down to this. The team sucking right now is 100% not his fault.

 

I'm giving it a 60% shot now that Ozzie Guillen is our manager next year......Just please not Bo Porter.....

I think it is nearly the 1 year anniversary of the the Fredi firing. Or pretty damn close.

ESPN just announced it was June 23 when he took over so not a year!!!

I don't think there's been any official statement from Edwin yet, so we don't really know.

 

I think he knew though that he was just a stopgap until Loria could try and get a "big name" manager like Ozzie to come in when we move to our new stadium.

bringing back mckeon would be very interesting but edwin deserved mu7ch better than this.

it sucks cos i liked Edwin but can't really be too mad considering how the team is playing.
