That was a good move because ward was eventually going to the bench with biggio going to center....and it was good for the dodger becuse now they have one more good solid hiiter added to there club.

You have to give something up to get something. Ward wasn't going to be free and it looks like the Dodgers gave up a decent prospect.

We just traded a few good prosects to Detroit. I don't want to trade any more, especially for another left-handed hitting outfielder who isn't going to help us when we realize Hollandsworth can't hit lefties.

I agree with you. Anyways the marlins are building around contact and Ward is not a contact hitter.

and hollandsworth has proven to be a contact hitter in teh majors?

unless contact is simply putting the ball in play, their averages I am willing to bet are fairly similar.

No, but he has the other two thing the Fish are building around speed and defense. The fact that he is a lefty helps his case aswell.

then make more compelling posts that explain your support of what exactly hollandsworth brings over ward.

your arguement was weak.

I never said Hollandsworth brings more than ward you brought him up. I was saying why Ward is NOT FIT for the marlins not that hollandsworth is better or anything...
