July 31, 201115 yr Surprised that Bell wasn't set packing. Maybe (hopefully) the Padres hold on to him and he doesn't go to the highest bidder.

He wasn't saying he did either. As far as Adams being traded, I must say I was quite surprised at this. They were saying he was the untouchable one, not Bell.
August 1, 201115 yr i think teams viewed adams as more valuable because of his contract. adams will be with the team for next season as well but heath would become a free agent. also maybe teams weren't willing to offer enough for heath since the padres will be getting two 1st rounders for him if he stays and signs elsewhere
August 1, 201115 yr Author Rangers also added Uehara, who probably should have been the Orioles' all-star rep.
