Phils offer a three-year deal...

Featured Replies

The Phillies have offered free agent pitcher Kevin Millwood a three-year deal with a vesting option, ESPN.com's Jayson Stark reports.

It is believed the offer is between $9 million and $10 million a year. However, Millwood's agent, Scott Boras, has been telling teams they're looking for $13 million per year over 5-7 years. Boras has yet to respond to Philadelphia's offer.

The right-hander spent his first six seasons with the Atlanta Braves before he was traded to Philadelphia for minor league catcher Johnny Estrada on Dec. 20 in a cost-cutting move.

Expected to be the team's ace in 2003, Millwood went 7-2 in the first two months of the season. But he fell off down the stretch, going 4-6 after the All-Star break. :banghead :banghead (See what i meant about Scott, he is like every players agent...) Link

boras is everywhere...

and he always says he wants more money than he can get

i hope no team will take his offer for pudge=50mill-5years

Boras is one crazy mofo if he thinks millwood is going to get a 7yr deal. Not a bad deal by the Phils but hopefully they dont sign him dont want him within our division.

Obviously, it would be better for the Fish to see him go somewhere else. However, Boras is full of it if he passes on that offer. Millwood's year last season was too mediocre to get him a lot of cash this season.

LOL.

After seeing what BorASS is proposing for Milwood, Pudge 5/for 50 doesn't look outrageous (not that I think he is worth that much).

Whoever give Kevin a 7 year/13 million must be thrown in jail

For 10 mill a year Millwood is definitely a Philly. He's not even that good in my opinion and nobody is dumb enough to give a starting pitcher 13 mill for 5 years these days.

He's not even that good in my opinion
