That we DO sign Pujols, Reyes and Buehrle. Would the Marlins then become the premier attraction in Miami? It sure isn't the Canes or Dolphins and the NBA is irrelevant right now. This would be the perfect chance to take hold of the market.

Seeing the area as a fairweather market, only if they win will they draw fans.Thats not indictment on the fans in general just the nature of the beast. This appears true certainly in Florida judging the other teams and leagues if you win people come out to the venue.

That's interesting. Something that hasn't crossed my mind. I would love to see those guys in Marlin unis, but I think winning, regardless of who is on the team will make us the main attraction.

Football season and baseball season don't even interact for the most part.

 

The Marlins relevance in this town is much similar to the Miami Heat. The Miami Heat are only relevant because they're winners.

Miami's a football town first and foremost, so I'd say no.
