I've been excited with the whole idea of adding an extra wild card since I first heard of it several years ago. Seems to me that we're usually in the wild card mix and this will great benefit a team like ours. Even if it's a one game playoff, once you get your foot on the door you never know...

I'm just learning of the existence of this clause, and I think it's awesome. Kudos to MLB for adding it. It makes me think about Glenn Burke and the downright awful way Tommy Lasorda and Billy Martin treated him. I hope someone comes out as a result of this, but I doubt it.

I was just trying to be funny, but yes I do hope it helps those who need that kind of protection. One of my daughters has come out as a lesbian, and she has told me horror stories of what happened to her while she was in the Army. Thank God that DADT was done away with. f*** YOU Clinton, worst thing you ever did.
