  1. I find it funny how former Marlins "fans" who "quit" being a fan of the team due to the firesale continue to pay attention to the team. If you quit being a fan, that's fine but act like it. Seen several of them already on Twitter and Facebook. They endlessly feel the need to remind you how they are no longer a fan and why you shouldn't be one either. I quit on this team's ownership and I will not do anything that will contribute a single penny until something in the upper management changes. I'm not here to root against anyone or taunt anyone who is still in 100 percent. I'm not emot

I find the stockholm syndrome-y defense of the Marlins just as funny... but I don't think anyone who's still active on this board, regardless of their negativity, wouldn't consider themselves a Marlins fan still. I love you so much rig

  5. I think this season could be a lot like 2006. AgreedYes, Mike Redmond will lead the team back from 20 games under .500 and then Loria will fire him. Just like 2006!
  6. Glad he's getting the call. Figured it'd be the 10 days under the bullpen circumstances being a contributing factor in his being sent down. He's the kind of kid who makes the most out of getting consistent ABs in AAA, so hopefully he gets a few starts a week. Wouldn't mind seeing LoMo at first and Gaby on the bench in those cases.
  7. I'm not so sure Jeter would have gotten this much attention, personally. However, I wouldn't know. He ranked in the top 50 prospects each year in the Minors, got to the top 10 his last 2 seasons and been up ever since. Who knows, really ... I think maybe Griffey, Jr. would have been a better example for that - much more comparable. Yeah, true. The Jeter example is my go-to because I was just a preschooler when Junior came up, where I was much older when Jeter came up. Also, his hype had a lot to do with the Yankee franchise. The Harper hype is refreshing in a way that he is a produc

  9. It's like Bryce Harper is baseball's newborn baby and they have to chronicle and marvel at every 'first' as if he was taking his first big boy steps or learning to use the potty. He's 19. He's the top prospect in baseball. You don't like Bryce Harper. That's cool. But you're not exactly being reasonable. Calm down, it was a joke. He's a 19-year-old phenom. I get it. It was really an observation on how the media now handles phenoms in this new age of social media. Imagine how much more exposed Derek Jeter would have been if the Internet wasn't in its infancy when he came up. It. w

  11. Posing with the player of the game... Mine's better despite the eye glare and me being midget-esque.
  12. Not that desperate, Mike. But lol.
  13. Good grief. I clicked on this thread expecting to read about everyone raving about how badass the attendance has been. My family left Miami when I was five years old, and I would give my left tit to live down there and be able to go to games, whether I lived in Miami, Miramar or even f**king Boca. I would find a way to get there and I wouldn't complain. Get the hell over it. Things are actually kind of going well (right now). I can actually hear the crowd roar on TV after a big play, and today's walk off grand slam crowd reaction made me proud. People of South Florida -- you don't apprec
  14. That's a great shot! Well done.
  15. I actually took a pic with that Stanton sign on Opening Night. I was wearing his jersey. It's on my dad's phone, though. I wonder if that act uses the same part of the brain that girls share that makes them buy iPhones? Seriously, every girl I know has an iPhone. Like, did you all make a pact to never buy another phone? /random ...my dad buys my iPhones for me on his company account.... Judge me.

  17. New Rule: Heath Bell should be unavailable to pitch every Zambrano start.
  18. That was Cody Ross walk off style - I am still shaking and screaming. :kiss Me too...I keep rewinding it. And also, it makes me choke up a bit to see the big crowd collectively losing their minds as soon as Stanton connected, and the celebration at home plate.
  19. LMFAO that Heath Bell is credited with the win. I want to have Giancarlo's babies. Yeah, I said it.
  20. He should be demoted to a mop-up reliever duty. Although he would probably make a game like that even more out of reach.
  21. Just stopping by, guys. Just wanted to say.... The LeoCoaster > The Heath Bell Experience
  22. Maybe it's for the best...Ricky hit RA Dickey? He's tied with D-Train's franchise win record and now he's pitching like him. I see a pattern here.
  23. The radio commentators suck...have I mentioned I CAN'T SEE THIS GAME? And I'm mad as hell?! The Marlins are the only constant in my life, and FOX has taken them away from me.
  24. CJ Wilson just K'd Ian Kinsler with RISP. Still, much rather be watching the MARLINS GAME.
