April 6, 201214 yr always appreciated! Good start for O'Gara, he's a big kid but needs a good season in Jax if he's going to amount to much. eeks... let's see, who else is around to follow in Jax this season... seems like filler mostly. Kyle Jensen and Jake Smolinsky are probably the highlights on offense. Skipworth's still hanging around. Not a lot of pitchers to watch besides O'Gara, Poveda & Reed are still there from the Cantu trade but Poveda's just okay as a starter. Reed's getting older but if he can shine with a full season of AA/AAA he could still be useful for pen depth. Jose Alvarez who they got from Boston for Hermida was actually doing well in the minors up until being promoted to AA Jax at midseason last year. Probably just organizational depth but could always switch to reliever. A.J. Ramos might be interesting, he's put up real solid numbers out of the pen since college. Hoping Chad James gets a callup before long. He didn't really shine at Jupiter last year but cut the walks down which was big. Thought there was a chance he'd start at AA but still young so no rush.
April 6, 201214 yr I love these roundups, but with Yelich on the DL currently, it's hard to get excited about any prospects. Still, always appreciate these.
