espo397x
Good for the Stros. Might make it instresting in the central. The Cardinals are slowly fading away. Hopefully this will urge Jim Hendry to sign Pudge, which wuold give the Cubs a huge edge. I mean, Petite compiled a Clement like ERA, he will not win 20 games in Houston like that. SorianoFanHFW
He was asking for 15 million a year from us. That's crazy, he's barely worth 11. I'm not mad at him as a person, but he's definitely not a loyal yankee. Goodbye Andy, but you were breaking our balls too much. What did the Yankees ever give you besides 8 straight postseasons, a crap load of run supprots, and millions of dollars. You could of been a real yankee legend, maybe even a HOFer with the pace you were winning games, but that's pretty much out the window now. Enjoy Houston, and your 4 era an 13 and 8 record.  Now David Wells, its time for you to step up. SorianoFanHFW
You actually want Wells back? His back gave way on the wrong game, but after surgery Wells has another good season left in him. He had one of the best K/BB IN HISTORY IN 2003. He won 15 games for us and he's cheaper. And he's signed.
Das Texan
So the Astros subtract Billy Wagner and add Andy Pettitte.  They will take that I am sure.  And the Astros can score, and are a good team...Andy will win at least 15.

Shaq-Man
pettite is overated i think absolutely... he has to be one of the most overrated pitchers in baseball. somebody tell me how tf this guy commands $11.5 million for his 4.00 ERA... i'm praying that the yankees manage to sign him just so they can get the payroll hit. his production is absolutely not worth the money he'll get. That is so true. I don't want the payroll hit! Pettitte said he's giving the yankees one last chance to sign him, kind of like Bernie did to us with Boston. I say drop Pettitte. Pubes Beinfest
pettite is only good for the post season.. thats when hes worth his dough
Das Texan
so andy has lucked out and won 12 games or more every year of his 9 year career, something only about 4 pitchers in baseball has done.  yup, he does suck.
Shaq-Man
pettite is only good for the post season.. thats when hes worth his dough say what? the stats on baseball almanac say his postseason ERA is over 4.50 and his world series ERA is over 5.00...  sure he's an above average pitcher, but there's no way on earth he could command more than $10 million just by virtue of playing for the yankees all these years. i'd love to see how many wins he racks up in an astros uniform next year. SorianoFanHFW
Exactly, people forgot that he has made more starts in the postseason than anyone else since 1995. He'll get wins almost by default. Good post alkazoid.  My honest opinion is that he'll win 13 to 15 games with the 'stros.
Pubes Beinfest
well he was good against hte marlins in the postseason...
SorianoFanHFW
well he was good against hte marlins in the postseason... This was probably his best postseason in his career, but not his best regular season.
