Wow! Everybody's pretty young here! I'm probably about "mid-range" on my board. I know we have people there who have been fans of the Angels since they were created back in 1961, so that can give you a rough idea of some of their ages.

  4. You actually want Wells back? I thought he was retiring???
  5. In basketball, I would have to go with the U of A only because of Lute Olson. The guy's a damn genius and it'll be sad to see what happens to their program when he finally retires.
  6. The BCS is a stupid system and I think it's been proven time and time again that it doesn't work! They need to abolish it and go with a more conventional playoff-type system. Maybe then I might pay more attention to college football than I do right now. All the politics surrounding it have really turned me off over the past ten years or so.
  7. I can't believe Pudge is still being greedy. Didn't he learn anything from last year's off-season when he came damn close to moving to Japan!

I can believe it's staged... Never heard of Wal-Mart??? Come on! Even if someone doesn't shop there, how can you not have heard of the largest retailer and largest single employer in the United States, not to mention never at least driven past one of their stores??? Nobody's that spoiled or dense!
  9. If that's true, then who'll play 2nd for the D-Backs? Trading CC is going to hurt D-Backs fans, he's fan favorite there. The D-backs have a great starting infield: Shea Hillenbrand at 3B, Alex Cintron at SS, Matt Kata at 2B and now Richie Sexson at 1B. The only thing lacking is a good backup infielder.
  10. And a couple of years ago, the D-backs had Mike Morgan who's almost as old and played for 12 different teams I believe.
  11. I liked him when he first took over the Suns, but apparently he's one of those coaches that's easy to get along with when the team is doing good, but turns into an a**hole when they're not and supposedly doesn't do anything to try and solve the problem. But who knows... I hope it works out for him there. As low as the Bulls are, I suppose the only way to go is up!
  12. Boston may be hurting themselves actually... Curt is taking his dear time with this plus if he does not accept(I think he will accept though) they not only do not get Curt but while they are playing the wait game. The Phillies just made an offer to Millwood and I'm sure a few other teams have as well. Curt wants to be guaranteed a contract extension of 2 to 3 years before he will agree to the trade. He says that this will be the last contract he signs in his career. Obviously he wants to retire around 40. The Red Sox GM/etc. are now in Phoenix meeting with him to negotiate a deal. What helps is that it looks like Terry Francona will become the Sox new manager and he and Curt are still friends since he was Curt's manager in Philly.
  13. Sorry to say this but i think Britney is better :thumbup Blasphemy!!! :guillotine
  14. (Snagged for my collection) :cool
  15. LOS ANGELES, Nov. 22 (Kyodo) - South Korean slugger Lee Seung Yeop, who hit 56 home runs to break the Asian single-season record this year, has expressed a desire to play for the Los Angeles Dodgers, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported Saturday. Lee, who will become a free agent, met Dodgers vice president Tommy Lasorda at a dinner meeting accompanied by his agent and paid a visit to Dodger Stadium, the report said. Details of the meeting were not revealed. ''I like the family-like atmosphere of the Dodgers,'' Lee said afterward. ''I'd like to play here.'' Lee has also made contact with the Seattle Mariners. I bet they had pasta. So, I guess this means the Crime Dog won't be re-signed by L.A. I only hope he stays around long enough in MLB to get his 500th HR. I ate dinner at the next table over from Tommy Lasorda and a group of people (possibly family) at a Boston Market in north Phoenix about five or six years ago. I would've expected him to go somewhere fancier...
