Admin
That's a lot of decisions and he's going to have less starts than most SP due to the IP limit. 14-

legacyofCangelosi
16-5, 3.38 era . 3rd inning of all star game That's a high ERA for him. I don't care what the win loss record is as long as he keeps his ERA low and K high. (Or low FIP if you're into that sort of thing)

dim
Based on his record last season (11 starts, 6 wins), I'll say he wins around 14 or 15 games. Dontrelle Willis is the only time I can remember a Marlins pitcher winning 20 games, and that was with the last season of the 2003 World Series lineup sans Pudge. Support has always been a problem for top Marlins pitchers. Leiter only won 16 games in his Cy Young caliber 1996 season. Josh Johnson only won 11 games when he should've started the All Star Game, also had equally terrible support the next year in short time. Hell Josh Beckett didn't win double digit games until his last season with the team in 2005. It's obvious to point out that win/loss record means absolutely nothing in judging how good Jose will be next season. He could go 4-5 for all I care if his ERA is good enough. Health is also a question but we've seen pitchers come back fine in today's age from Tommy John surgery so it isn't a major question anymore. Honestly Jose may not even get all his wins this season with the Marlins if the team falters enough that they look to trade him in July.
