March 30, 20168 yr Number one its financial, saves them that bonus or something they get from being retained. Secondly, it gives the player a chance to sign with a team that can offer him something better. Not many really do return this quickly, Kelly probably thought this was his best fit even in AAA. He might be right. We'll probably see him this season.

March 31, 20168 yr Don Kelly is nice insurance for potential injuries to any of Prado, Hech, or Gordon. Good locker room guy with playoff experience. He may not be the world's best player but he'll instill some really important knowledge to the guys down in AAA.
