4/15 Postgame

Featured Replies

To something I said last night. We play the Braves 18 times this year. Let's say we take 11 games from them, we'll all be happy with that. Losing one game last night, outside of the heartbreaking way that it happened, is just one game of 18. Yes we should have crushed them, but again, it's just one game. It's the issues that arose during the game that need to be addressed more than the loss of one game. I may be wrong but I feel like some of you are more concerned with the loss than the reasons behind the loss.

well said

Nope.

What concerns you more my friend? That we're 3-5 two weeks into the season or that we've got a completely below average and unreliable bullpen and an offense that's not exactly getting the big hit when it needs to?

Both. The bullpen has made that 3-5 record happen. Moreover, all games matter right? Just in the off chance of missing the postseason by one game, you can look at these disasters caused by the bullpen

That's a fair way of looking at it. Every win counts. I agree. But u also can't expect to win 162. So fretting over a specific loss more so than the reasons behind it is pointless.

I feel, okay, 8 games right? We could easily be 7-1 in these games, the 1 being pretty much the game I went to. If you a "shit happens" theory then we can be 4-4 or 5-3 by now. I will say this and anybody can say what they will about the offense, each batter that has ended the game for us has represented either the tying or go ahead run. So despite the horrible bullpen, we are in it until the very end

Anyone blaming anything on this offense right now is not worth the time.

Offense is good, but clutch hits required. However, pressure can put off of them if we had a bullpen.

Timely hits is all that's missing.

And the DFAS of Jackson, narveson, Breslow, and Morris. :-)

The offense is not bad but when there's been so many times in the past two weeks like the eighth and ninth last night where we literally needed "just one more big hit" then something is missing and I guess Admin worded it best with the word "timely."
