December 19, 200322 yr Throw Mark Redman onto this list....acc. to reports, there's a good chance he will not be offered arbitration if the A's don't sign him by Sunday. It would be a hell of a swindle if the Marlins end up getting him back. He would probably cost a little more than his arbitration amount, but they would have netted themselves another mid-reliever and they could use the cash from the A's to pay Redman off.

He's their 3 starter. evreybody makes mistakes....... im sure he jsut forgot about the lilly thing...... but clearly the other 5 guys will be non tenderd with rumors that the Xpos might trade ARmas so they can get something for him adleast..... like we did with Jaun E..... I like the list alo 1. Tony Armas would be a solid 4th starter on the team and when AJ comes back we move Pavz to the pen, and yes i know he had agreat playoff run.. but i look at it as more depth..... 2. Damian Moss could be our 5th starter seems like he will neav ful fill his potentail only thiing i dont get is..... nobody si really giving him time to progress i think we should take a a chance on him... whats the worse that could happen?? he moves into the pen as a Long Reliver?????? 3. December 19, 200322 yr Just to add something to the bullpen talk... it appears Benitez will accept the Marlins offer because it had been rumor the only other team with an offer was..... The AP is reporting that the A's and Arthur Rhodes have agreed to terms on a three-year, $9.2 million contract. The deal will be once completed once he passes a physical. Rhodes will take over as Oakland's closer next season and be one of the great value picks in fantasy leagues in 2004. plus the fact that he signed for a average of 3 million, which is what the Marlins have on the table, I expect this to get done later today. hmmm, alright, i like it, i think it'll work.....does this mean "see ya later loop"? i would be sad to see him go ........i cant see him being anything but a marlin JMO I think "IF" this goes down, Looper will be non-tender BUT Marlins will try and resign him at a lower price. bingo but doesnt loop want to close???
