The double switch was pretty bad, I agree. Either way, it’s clear that he likes to double switch (not sure why) and maybe that was his way of learning from the mistake. By hitting Jazz leadoff, there is no longer a need to ever double switch him out of the game.

The two problems are the same in how extreme they are but differ one too another. 2020 everything (lineups & matchups) seemed to work. 2021 has been the complete opposite. I would prefer more in the middle than the extremes of this year and last. This team needs a player manager not a game manager who flirts with himself for that title.
