June 26, 20241 yr Marlins pick JJ Bleday over HS stars CJ Abrams and Riley Greene. Simply because we thought the older college bat was going to be fast-tracked to the majors. Not saying we would have developed the two bats with our horrific organizational approach to batting, but being short-sighted cost us big-time. Our whole weird approach to the draft for several years where we thought the older the player the better goes against anything age curves have taught us. Oh well, we would have messed it up anyway. Death knell #1.
