Just so we all know where people stand

I prefer the ProPlayer site but not at ProPlayer. I would to see the county work with the Marlins to build a second facility there (absent a county buy-back of PPS from WH) in the area so to use the adjoining highway system.

 

I am not in favor of the Fish staying at PPS under any arrangement equivalent to the onerous deal they have now.

Are you asking our opinions of the locations alone?

 

Or should we take everything into account?

Best location financially and for the fans. It is a familiar site and can handle the crowds.

I have the same questions. Is PPS option for status quo or a NEW stadium next to the PPS?

I am calling for all current proposals which seem to be on the table, and i may be wrong but i have not heard of a second stadium by Pro player. Also i didnt include Don King's proposal because i do not believe the state wants to work with Mr. King in this process. These are the most recent ones i have heard about. Also as for specs, they all are about the same as both the new orange bowl stadium and fort lauderdale stadium renovation call for 35,000 to 38,000 seats.

 

On another note, i dont know how many of you have seen the best stadium in the Marlins orginization. Isotope Park in Albuquerque looks like a great place to catch a game. Interesting architecture, good seats, and not a camden yard want to be. And who could hate a team named after the simpsons?

Isotopes Park also has the drive-in outfield, but it was closed due to security concerns.

 

It is a very nice park and one the Marlins should look to for help on basic designs, but I feel a ballpark in South Florida should have the Floridian architecture of grand walkways and tiled rotundas with beautiful skylights and atriums. Roger Dean is a step in that direction.

I said none because I don't think any of them really do what the Marlins need. Of the offers out there, the new OB is the best, but I think that Don King, or even *gasp* a new lease with Pro Player may be just as viable.

The 'Topes ballpark is very impressive!

Would like to have it built nearby ProPlayer. Joe Robbie new what he was doing when he placed his stadium at that site.

I can go with either Marlins2003's idea of adding another stadium to the JRS area or the OB setup (like Capefish). I think the OB could be managed, just it seems the Marlins want to have a roof and want to handle the construction themselves. But the city wont allow this. I dont know what would have to happen to add a stadium to the JRS area, but I am sure the land would be cheap.
