Haven't seen either, but as the reason you stated I will go with Godfather.

I knew it would come down to these two. One has stood the test of time.

I liked LOTR a ton, but Godfather wins it. Maybe if in 20 years I still love LOTR as much, my vote could change.

I'll check back with the site in 2024.

It is just difficult to choose between two awesome movies, when they are so different. It would be easier if this would have been broken down into categories. However, I voted Lord of The Rings. I think it deserves at least recognition, since I know Godfather will probably win.

i honestly thought godfather would get trounced by LOTR because most teenagers are much more familiar with LOTR.

True. But common sense has to win at the end (I hope).

Lord of The Rings is an awesome masterpiece. However, the Godfather (1 and 2) are classics that have been around for a long time. This movies are a most see to anyone. I don't think the Corleones will ever be forgotten.

I have yet to seen Return of the King and I own the Godfather box set so that tells you something.

I just recently saw the first 2 LOTR and I have to admit, they were WAY better than I thought they would be. I'm boycotting theaters right not so I'll have to wait until Return hits ppv on the dish.

WOOO!!!

Godfather has made it to the finals and looks like it should take it all. :afro

"I believe in America. America has made my fortune."

Both are classics and two of the greatest movies ever made. However the action in Lord of the Rings:RotK slips this one past Godfather

The Godfather Pt. 1

Godfather

Godfather is winning...13-5...

The Godfather wins. Thanks for voting.
