Marlins Report Date...

Featured Replies

Is there a chance that if I go to Jupiter this weekend, I can see some of the players? Players on team have been showing up very early to get into playing shape and practice early... and when exactly do the pitchers and catchers report?

February 22 (next Saturday) for pitchers and February 24 for catchers.

Position players must report by February 25, and the first Full Squad Workout is February 27.

You'll probably have a better chance seeing some guys at Pro Player than Roger Dean. I know that some Cardinals are there because I saw Jason Simontacchi (SP?) at the airport.

There are guys working out at PPS on an adhoc basis and I would assume other facilities including Roger Dean. In fact there are occassionally guys from other teams who live in south florida that have used PPS in the past to work out before spring training.

WE ALL KNOW WE HAS BEEN THERE SINCE THE WORLD SERIES ENDED!! JUAN PIERRE! HE'S ALWAYS WORKING TO GET BETTER AND STAY IN SHAPE, I SWEAR HE HAS GOTTA BE THE BEST CONDITIONED ATHLETE EVER

I know for a fact that Tommy Phelps, Mike Mordecai, Juan Pierre, Lowell, and Willis have been warming up at the Pro.

:thumbup Nice to know our guys are getting ready. . .

I would like to try and see them, the day they report for practice. It would be neat watching them gettin ready for the season.

It was pretty cool last year. I was literally standing less than four feet behind Mike Redmond as he was catching Dontrelle Willis. Plus, Josh Beckett was messing around with a young kid standing next to me (and there was NOBODY else around). The players usually sign, but only AFTER they've finished their workouts. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT try to get autographs as they walk from one practice field to another while they are switching drills!

Again, I assume more people will show up this year than last year. Last year it was on a Monday (President's Day). Afterwards, many players would sign as they left the clubhouse.

I plan on going, but then again I live in western Lake Worth, about twenty minutes from RDS.

Juan Pierre works on getting better a lot! He's going to get much better...so he will prob. work out a lot.

What time to the pitchers arrive on Saturday. Is there any chance of catching them for an autograph early????
