February 14, 200422 yr Author Select UM Events To Air on Sunshine SELECT UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI ATHLETIC EVENTS TO AIR ON SUNSHINE NETWORK THIS WINTER/SPRING A schedule of select UM baseball, women?s basketball and ?The Ferne Labati Show? to air statewide on Sunshine Network MIAMI? Sunshine Network and the University of Miami have announced an agreement that will provide exclusive live television coverage of select UM athletic events this winter/spring to Sunshine?s statewide audience of nearly 6 million homes. The University of Miami will appear in seven baseball games on Sunshine and in four women?s basketball games. Season-long coverage of UM?s women?s basketball coaches show, ?The Ferne Labati Show? will air Thursdays at 5pm beginning January 22. ?The addition of this programming from one of the nation's premier collegiate programs complements what is already one of the strongest line-ups anywhere," said Cathy Weeden, Sunshine Network vice president and general manager. "Televising the in-state baseball match-ups between Florida, FSU and Miami will provide our viewers with some of the best rivalries and competitive contests on the collegiate baseball schedule both regionally and nationally.
