Ouch! This doesn't bode well. Scott Olsen and Josh Willingham look like the best out of the group, but Olsen was at low A and Willingham was old for the league.

Boy did BA miss the boat on some of these players. I've seen Andino, Fulton and Sosa play and I know we have better players than this in the system. They totally wiffed on not putting J. T. Restko and Paul Mildren on the list for starters. What is Chris Resop doing on this list too???!!?? He sucked as a hitter and only recently converted to pitcher.

What have Restko and Mildren done to warrant mentioning? Restko couldn't hit over .250 in rookie ball, and Mildren had a 4+ ERA and a terrible K/BB ratio in the Sally league.

hmmmm stokes is a good 2 years away from reaching the majors .... and i think im being generous

If ever. Jason wasn't all that good at Jupiter and was dominated in the Fall League.

I can see not having Choi on that list because he has some MLB playing time, but where is Mike Nannini? If anything, he should be at (or near) the top of that list. A 3.62 ERA, a nearly 3:1 K/BB ratio, and a K/9 ratio over 9 in the Southern League and that doesn't get him mentioned in the top 10??? Ask an Astros fan if they'd like to have Mike Nannini back in their organization, and I'll bet you'll get nothing but resounding yeses.

Restko has physical tools that are not always measured in stats. Also his avg. was above .275 for most of the summer until the last month. This is not unusual for high school players in GCL. Fulton never got his avg above .200 and neither did Andino in low A. Restko also has more pop in his bat than many players listed as you will see in the future. As for Mildren he received very poor run support last year in Greensboro amd had a few bad outings that raised his ERA last season. Of course in 02 his ERA was under 2 in GCL. I'm basing my opinion on actually seeing the players play, to what do you base your opinions on????

Oh yeah Fish Fry you see to forget Stokes is now a year removed from wrist surgery and was less than 100% last year but still led FSL in RBI's and hit 17 HR's in what are essentially big league parks, at least dimension wise.

his numbers should be better in the smaller parks of AA

What was his excuse in the AFL, though? Everything I read said that he was fully recovered from wrist surgery halfway through the season. If that was the case, he should've been at full strength by the time Fall League came around, yet he couldn't hit water falling off of a boat there.
