Florida is now 8-2-4-1 in its last 15 home games.

Lets make it 9 on Friday!

You know, I like the Panthers and all. And Luongo is amazing. But this team just doesn't have it. Too young, and not really a character squad.

Seriously, if I were Luongo I would have probably demanded a trade by now. I hope the Panthers either get better quick, or deal him, because he can't waste his career away here.

I hope all these young players pan out in a big way.

And sorry to be a naysayer...I know it's particuarly ironic coming from a Marlins fan. But I've watched these guys blow enough 2 and 3 goal leads to know that they're not playoff-caliber yet. Still, best of luck to them...

we need a vet big time

trade Huselius for one

we got Chicago and Washington in our next 2(both should be wins)

Bouwmeister is back Friday and Horton is back next week

this is awesome

Huselius has been playing very well of late so if anyone is going to be traded, its going to be Kozlov (if healthy) or possibly Hagman (Maybe for Kieth Carney).

I like to say something about each comment.

1. The team does definetly have it first of all. Every veteran is stepping up big time like Cullen, Bure, Jokinen etc. It is young but hey, so were th Ducks, and the Panthers of 96. There is most definetly character on this team. Jokinen has stepped up as a leader and filled his captains shows in a big way. The grinders are all character and play very responsible. And you can't forget Steve Shields. If it is Jani Hurme, Luongo isn't at the level he is, period.

2. Why would Luongo demand a trade. The Panthers are the team of the future in the NHL. You must not know there is a guy by the name of Jay Bouwmeester, who plays like Pronger and is a very responsible DMen. Oh yeah, I forgot about Nathan Horton, Kamil Kreps, Anthony Stewart, plus that first rounder we get this year.

3. Horton, Bouwmeester, Weiss barring injury, have all played like they were ten year veterans. One is a rookie and the others sophmores. Not many teams can put out names like that out quickly from the draft and develop them in the NHL.

4. Ever heard of Iron Mike Keenan. The players hated him as he was the dictator. If you notice the record with Keenan, most of those three to four goal blown leads came there and soon after while the Cats were adapting to Dud's system. They are playoff caliber this year based on the play of one guy, Roberto Luongo. The Ducks, hell they weren't going to catch a glimpse of the playoffs without Giguire last year. Watch out for the Cats.

The next few games are very winnable but we better watch out for the spoiler factor.

Bouwmeester will probably play Friday barring setback and definetly Chicago and Horton could very well play Friday or at Chicago.

You know its awesome Ramp! :thumbup

Heres some new rumors. C/o spectorshockey.com

FT. LAUDERDALE SUN-SENTINEL: Michael Russo reports Panthers GM Rick Dudley won't sell off pieces of his team. He may shop rugged blueliner Lyle Odelein to a playoff contender but may still be in the hunt for a top-two defenceman or a faceoff specialist. Those who might be shopped include Kristian Huselius and Andreas Lilja, and it's rumoured that Viktor Kozlov has been shopped, but his concussion is making it difficult for Dudley to move him. The Panthers GM has also received inquiries for winger Valeri Bure. It's believed the Predators, Canadiens and Maple Leafs might have interest in Odelein, and the Preds and Bruins might also be interested in Lilja.

MIAMI HERALD: David J. Neal reports Panthers GM Rick Dudley continues to shop for a "top-notch, crease-clearing defenceman". However, "bubble" players like Matt Cullen and Niklas Hagman have picked up their play of late, leading Dudley to suggest that those Panthers who might have been available may no longer be.

Spector's Note: Or their value has just gone up....

i hope they dont trade off some of them. I like odelein and bure. I wouldnt wanna see em go unless we get somethin really great in return. The cats gotta make the playoffs this year!!!

Lets make this another dual season to remember between the Marlins and Panthers

we never shouldve traded ozolinsh

Why, all Ozolinsh has been this season is injured. Matt Cullen is a great grinding, tough centermen who has a good scoring touch.

If Odelein was traded, it would be if the Panthers were out of the Playoffs. They love him so much that they want to give him a chance at the Stanley Cup if they are out of the playoffs. Bure will not be traded unless it is too good of an offer to pass up...

You know it! :thumbup

the Rangers beat the Islanders I think tonight, but the Canadiens won

wow...the Panthers are playing great...they have a chance...

I hope the Panthers keep it up. So they dont need to trade odelein, and maybe he can lead the cats to marlins-like run through the ever so long NHL playoffs :thumbup

Cats tonight with a Sabres win become only five points out of the playoff spot, thats as long as the Sabres win there game in regulation.

Lets make this another dual season to remember between the Marlins and Panthers

Everyone compared the Marlins run to the Angels' run of last year....how bout the Cats making a Mighty Ducks-esque run with a different ending? We certainly have the goalie in place to do it.....

The Habs need to start losing...IMO they are the team to catch as the Isles don't seem to lose to anyone except the Rangers. These gams against bad teams are must wins to have any chance at a run....Beat the Crapitals!
