February 27, 200422 yr With Turk Wendell in the news, I thought I'd post something I just found in the Sports Weekly: "Reliever Turk Wendell turned down a guaranteed $900,000 offer from the Marlins to take a "$700,000 minor league deal with Colorado, where he lives in the off-season." I did not know about this. He could've helped our bullpen alot, and his kooky antics would fit right in with this staff.
February 27, 200422 yr Yea...Why does everyone hate the Marlins so much? The Marlins are better than Colorado! I know some players turn down more money(even though its very rare-because its all about money to some players)to go with a better team. But in this case the Marlins are the better team and we offered more money...What Happened?

February 27, 200422 yr ah yes...... the answer to your question is that Pudge and Turk Wendell are in fact different people. not to mention the fact that Pudge had a LOT more than a 200k difference to weigh. interesting though, definately could've used the bullpen arm down here.
