Speaking of Turk Wendell.....

With Turk Wendell in the news, I thought I'd post something I just found in the Sports Weekly:

 

"Reliever Turk Wendell turned down a guaranteed $900,000 offer from the Marlins to take a "$700,000 minor league deal with Colorado, where he lives in the off-season."

 

I did not know about this. He could've helped our bullpen alot, and his kooky antics would fit right in with this staff.

The Marlins are better than Colorado!

 

I know some players turn down more money(even though its very rare-because its all about money to some players)to go with a better team.

 

But in this case the Marlins are the better team and we offered more money...What Happened?

the answer to your question is that Pudge and Turk Wendell are in fact different people.

 

 

not to mention the fact that Pudge had a LOT more than a 200k difference to weigh.

 

 

interesting though, definately could've used the bullpen arm down here.

Yeah it would have been nice but at least he did something other players dont. Play closer to home and take a paycut. Someone who starts with an P and ends with an E didnt do.
