Flag Man
Matt Perisho struck out the side in his one inning intrasquad game appearance yesterday. Granted he didn't face any "regular" players and pitchers have an advantage in the first week of ST... still, he's a lefty and that catches my attention. Best I can discover... he was drafted (3rd round) by the Angels and the now 28 year old also played the past six years with the Rangers and Tigers. (Noticed that with the Rangers in 2000 he pitched 105 innings with 7.37 ERA. With Tigers in '02 he pitched just 10 innings with 8.71 ERA. Found that he was released by the Devil Rays in July, 2003 (no stats) and is shown with the '03 Rockies (no stats). Curious. Maybe he just got re-born. Anybody know him? catchoftheday
I've known about the guy for a while, nothing stat worthy but ive known who he is. Seriously i like him, he might be the worst piece of **** but for some reason i find him interesting (dont ask) Him and Florie seem like good options for the bullpen ... well just options without the good. geemoney
Yeah, I've heard of him....the team is probably looking for a lefty reliever, so he's got as good a chance as any.
