  1. Great inning by former Winthrop Eagle, Chris Leroux.
  2. No way I'm cheering to see my team get no-hit...I'd hate to see that in person. Now after the game, I'll probably acknowledge the feat and give the opposing pitcher a hand...it is impressive and I would recognize what he did. But I wouldn't be cheering for it to happen.

I'm hooked...it keeps getting funnier and funnier as it goes along too.
  5. I had a professor in college who had Gay as her first name...
  6. He was a fan favorite...always smiling, always played with a ton of energy and emotion. He was only 5'6" or so (he was listed at 5'8" on the roster, but he wasn't that tall), but there was never anyone quicker than him on the court and even at his small size, he probably drew the most charges on the team last year. It's tough to see a life end so early...
  7. Sad day for my alma mater... http://www.winthropeagles.com/default.asp?...ory&id=4336 ROCK HILL, SC?Junior point guard De?Andre Adams passed away this morning in the Atlanta Medical Center from head injuries he suffered last Saturday morning in a one-car accident near his home in Austell, GA. Funeral arrangements for the 20-year-old Adams are incomplete and will be announced on Thursday. Adams was injured critically when he swerved the car he was driving to avoid a tree that had fallen on the road during a thunder storm. His car flipped and rolled before crashing into a tree. He was returning home after playing basketball in an Atlanta area pick-up game at the Run-And-Shoot. He had been in a drug-induced coma and on a ventilator during the past four days. His condition appeared to have stabilized on Tuesday although he remained in critical condition. However, during the night he took a turn for the worst. As a key reserve for the Eagles, he helped lead Winthrop to two Big South Conference titles and two appearances in the NCAA Championship Tournament. He played in all 65 Winthrop games during the past two seasons and averaged 2.1 points and 2.8 assists in 2006-07.
  8. Those are classics right there....Thanks for giving me a chance to laugh this morning Accord. And I can't believe that the 'Average Homeboy' didn't make it.

Hip Hop Honors is one of the best shows of the year...It's funny, who would've thought 10 years ago that VH1 would have better hip-hop programming than MTV.
  11. Thanks President Wes Welker... And I'm in no hurry PitchingWinsGames, and use whatever pics you think work the best for you...

Winthrop hasn't had a Midnight Madness event in years...but they do have a 'Fan Fest' (which is pretty much the same type of even) scheduled for Nov. 2. Can't wait for the season to start...Big things are going to happen in Rock Hill this year.
