October 29, 200619 yr Let's hear your nominations. I'll go with "Chicken Noodle Soup." Not sure who sings it.
October 29, 200619 yr It's not any of the rock bands (NOTE: I have kicked emo out of rock), that's for sure. Rock has had a nice two year run between last year and this year if you ignore KoRn. In fact, that's my nomination. Twisted Transister sucks ass.

I diagree with you completely I listen to some emo music and enjoy some KoRn songs but Junior is correct with thw chicken noodle soup being the worst song of 2006
October 29, 200619 yr Some other nominations- Daddy Yankee-Gansta zone T.I -What you know about that Fergie - London Bridge
October 29, 200619 yr What the hell falls in the category of emo these days? Is it what we used to call punk rock?
October 29, 200619 yr No. Emo is that crying type music you hear from Panic at the Disco! and Taking Back Sunday, among others.
October 29, 200619 yr OK, I think I get it... because I like some punk rock bands (my favorite is Further Seems Forever) and I was hoping that didn't make me an "emo kid."
October 29, 200619 yr I would definitely not call Panic At The Disco! crying music, personally. Not on the extreme end, no. But I think they've been given the head slot of the movement.
October 29, 200619 yr People need to stop throwing the word "emo" around just because they see someone with a guitar in a band. If you think Panic! At The Disco is emo, you have no idea what emo is. Emo is Dashboard Confessional, Taking Back Sunday, and Saves The Day. Stuff like that. Must other stuff that people think is emo is usually Alternative Rock and/or Punk Rock. With that said, "Goin' Down" by Yung Joc is the WORST. SONG. EVER.
October 29, 200619 yr Heh. I think I know a little something about groups of people that huddle around with a drum kit, a guitar (or two), and a bass, so that argument goes out the window. Anyways, whether Panic! likes it or not, they've been branded as the head of that moment. Is that fair? No. Kind of like Led Zeppelin being tagged as the founding fathers of Heavy Metal along with Black Sabbath - only the latter was gunning for it and actually wanted it.

To your first statement, I wasn't talking about you. I know you're a big fan of Avenged Sevenfold and that you know your stuff. I just hate when people ladel everything emo just for the hell of it. To your second statement, I agree. Like you said, PATD has been labeled emo and tons of people hate them because they think they're emo when they really aren't. Which is stupid as hell.
October 29, 200619 yr Lil' Romeo's "Can't Shine Like Me" is absolutely horrible. Lil' Romeo's attempt to diss Bow Wow. He trys to act like he is from the gutter and is all about the streets. It really is a joke. Here it is if you want to see/hear it.
October 29, 200619 yr "SexyBack" by Justin Timberland. I heard it one day and was absolutly terrified. Are there really people in this world for pay money for that music...on purpose?

October 29, 200619 yr Again and Again by Jewel is horrific. That Brooke Hogan song is also pretty bad.
October 29, 200619 yr chicken noodle soup.... the dance, the song and the video might be the worst sh*t to ever happen to New York Hip hop and possibly all of music. Young Joc's "i know you see it" is right up there to along with both tracks Fergie has put out on the radio.
