That's what white sox fans are saying too. -
Good. She needs all the competent help she can get.

Quick question, can you officially hire espada or announce him as your next manager while the Astros season is still going on? Don't know if that is allowed per MLB rules. -

This is correct. Baseball unlike most sports is all about what is done in the offseason. The offseason dictates who makes it to the postseason unless your manager is inept. Even then, some teams still make it to the postseason i.e. the Yankees. I think Aaron Boone is a doofus but here they are in the ALCS. In MLB, the GM or President of Baseball Operations is the most important figure in shaping an organization, then the owner, then the manager is a distant third. -

He is my choice but you have to fight the white sox for him. -

I'm an Espada guy, but I'm surprised that Matt Quatraro's name hasn't been mentioned much. -

Ehh. Maddon, Espada, or Quatraro for me. To a lesser extent, Girardi again. -
I hear that and I get what you're saying, but I just want all of the old Jeter/Mattingly stallworths gone. I think Rojas needs to go not just from a production standpoint but like I said, I think he is and was disruptive in the locker room with the younger (and more talented) guys with his preachy "I'm the captain, you need to be a professional" BS. If Sandy said it, okay people need to fall in line because he is one of the best in baseball....this guy? GTFOH Miguel.

Agreed.

I hope he does go. I'm not sure he wasn't a distraction with the team meeting and him taking his "captain" status too far. To me, you should have to be more than a glorified utility player to be a captain for any team. His production doesn't match his status within the organization. Further, what kind of captain is he if under his "leadership" you have back to back 90 loss seasons and in fighting in the locker room. #traderojasforbullpenhelp

Marlins Prioritizing High Contact Hitters this Off-season
Mavericksouth replied to Entendu's topic in Miami Marlins
I'm open to taking a risk on high end prospects that are elite contact hitters. For instance, I'd trade Pablo to Baltimore for a colton cowser type prospect. -
Is there any hope for this franchise in the next five years?

Lots of faith in a passive novice like Ng. -

Honestly, the buck stops with Sherman. So he 'sucks' the most. He COULD change the fortune of the team if he wanted to. He chooses not to because he is a money mark who bought the team for his favorite player (Jeter), who has since abandoned him. He COULD fire Kim Ng, he COULD fire Mattingly, he COULD replace the hitting staff throughout the organization and upgrade the player development department with competent coaches. Or best yet, He COULD sell the team to John Ruiz. Instead, he wants to finish the destruction of the team that Jeffrey Loria began. He sucks the most and no one else is in the discussion.
