  1. The Vikings have signed G Steve Hutchinson to an offer sheet worth $49 million over seven years, including $16 million in guaranteed money. The deal has a huge cap number in the first year, which will discourage the Seahawks from matching it. They have seven days to do so. Seattle has to be regretting not placing the franchise tag on him in order to get draft pick compensation. This is the biggest contract for an interior lineman in league history by far. Profootball.com reports that many league insiders believe Drew Brees doesn't want to play for the Saints. New Orleans may be offering more upfront money, but reportedly only want a short-term deal. It's still speculation, but the Dolphins are reportedly offering more long-term money. They definitely offer more franchise stability.
  2. Browns continue signing frenzy Browns have agreed on a multi-year deal with DT Ted Washington. The deal hasn't yet been confirmed by the Browns, but it's reportedly $6.5 million over two years. Washington is in decline as a space hog, but played some of his best ball under Romeo Crennel in New England.
  3. Good Grief... Cardnials offense = Scary
  4. Looks like this will be the first signing for the Dolphins.. Reserve CB Andre Goodman is expected to sign with the Dolphins. He would not be a candidate to start, but Miami needs depth.

I am gonna be 18 on the 22nd of March and I was wonderring how old you had to be to place sports bets online? Got some extra money just sitting around. I have heard 21 but other people have said 18. Does it depend on the site you go to? Wouldn't mind trying it out.
  6. Saban better sign someone tonight. I don't care if he is a scrub, just sign someone. Getting frustrated seeing all these teams making moves with the Dolphins not doing anything yet.
  7. I guess Saban is taking his time.
  8. Vikings sign K Ryan Longwell. Longwell stays in the NFC North after spending the past nine seasons with Green Bay. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed The Cardinals have reportedly signed guard Milford Brown to a four-year contract. "He is very aggressive and very athletic," says head man Dennis Green. "He is a big guy but for a guard his size I think he can run and make plays and I think he is ideally suited for our offensive system." Exact terms of the deal are unknown. Browns signed WR Joe Jurevicius to a four year, $10 million contract. For now, Jurevicius will fill a starting role opposite Braylon Edwards. The contract amount would seem to indicate he could slide into a No. 3 role down the line. Because of his injury history, we'll be cautious about over-valuing him in fantasy leagues. Ravens signed DE Trevor Pryce to a five-year, $25 million contract, including $10 million in guarantees. It's an extremely risky signing for a player who was limited to part-time duties in 2005 because of chronic back problems. Pryce will step into the starting role vacated by Anthony Weaver in Baltimore's new-look defense
  9. Rams signed safety Corey Chavous to a five-year contract. The Rams continue to go after declining veterans. Chavous is a heady player who can help coach his teammates, but paying him $6-7 million in 2006 is outrageous. He will average $4 million in the first three years of the deal. Expect him to line up at free safety. Cardinals signed DT Kendrick Clancy to a four-year, $8.1 million contract. We're really surprised the Giants didn't offer this much to retain him. Clancy was a force down the stretch for New York last season and is likely to start next to Darnell Dockett in Arizona. Cowboys signed G Kyle Kosier to a five-year, $15 million contract, including a $5 million signing bonus. Kosier will help shore up a big problem area for Dallas' interior line. He can play guard and tackle, but this could spell the end of Admin Allen's career in Dallas. DE Anthony Weaver is expected to sign with the Texans Saturday for a deal including $13 million in guaranteed money. That is a huge contract for a player always seen as a solid, if unspectacular, starter. The Ravens lost two of them Saturday. Weaver should help Houston's rush defense and start in the team's new 4-3 defense. Robaire Smith may move inside

Justin Williams is possibly the most underrated player in college basketball. He averaged 11.3 ppg 10.8 rpg 5.4 bpg this season He had 10 points 15 rebounds 12 blocks against Utah last night. Whoever gets him in the draft will be getting a special player.
  11. Scratch the above post. The first weird free-agency report of the night came from Cleveland, when the team's Web site reportedly signed Patriots wide receiver David Givens and Ravens punter Dave Zastudil. The only problem was it wasn't true. Givens' agent, Brad Blank, has his client on a 7 a.m. flight to Miami to visit the Dolphins, and he almost didn't send Givens to Cleveland because of the erroneous report. Blank theorized that someone hacked into the Browns' computer, but he emphasized that no deal is done. Givens is scheduled to visit the Browns on Sunday if he doesn't sign with the Dolphins on Saturday.
  12. David Givens is a member of the Browns. By Zac Jackson, Staff Writer March 11, 2006 The Browns made an immediate splash in the free agent market Saturday by signing wide receiver David Givens. WR David Givens Photo By Getty Images Givens, who played his first four NFL seasons with the Patriots and won two Super Bowl championships, seems to be a perfect fit for a Browns team that made adding an experienced, reliable receiver a top offseason goal. Givens bolsters a Browns' receiving corps that awaits the return of last year's top draft pick, Braylon Edwards, from a December ACL injury, and also features veteran Dennis Northcutt. Last year's leading receiver, Antonio Bryant, is a free agent. Givens, 25, caught a career-high 59 passes for 738 yards in 13 games last season. He caught 5 passes for 54 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots' playoff loss in Denver in January. He posted a career-high 6 touchdowns in 2003, and had a career-high 874 receiving yards in 2004. His career totals include 158 receptions, 2,214 yards and 12 touchdowns; he's also the Patriots all-time leader in postseason touchdown receptions with 6. Givens was a seventh round draft choice out of Notre Dame in 2002. He signed a one-year max tender with the Patriots last season as a restricted free agent. In Cleveland, Givens is reunited with Romeo Crennel and assistant head coach Jeff Davidson. Crennel was previously the defensive coordinator in New England and Davidson coached the offensive line and tight ends. Browns Special Teams Coach Jerry Rosburg held the same position at Notre Dame for two of Givens' four seasons there. Givens blocked three punts while playing under Rosburg in 2000. Givens played a limited offensive role and contributed on special teams as a Patriots rookie in 2002, when he caught 9 passes for 92 yards and a touchdown in 12 games. He caught 34 passes for 510 yards and 6 touchdowns in 2003 in 13 games (5 starts) in 2003, including a career-long 57-yarder. His breakout season came in 2004, when he led the Patriots with 56 catches for 874 yards. He had four games with 100-plus receiving yards, a touchdown catch in each of the Patriots' three postseason games, and converted first downs on 47 of his 56 regular-season receptions.
  13. LaVar Arrington met with the Dolphins today and seems to like the idea of playing in South Florida. Former Washington linebacker LaVar Arrington met Friday with the Dolphins, agent Carl Poston said. "They had expressed an interest and Miami is a great place to live and play football," Poston said. "I think they need a linebacker, especially since they released Junior (Seau). That's all I know so far." Arrington, 27, was a Pro Bowl selection from 2001 to 2003. At 6-3 and 255 pounds, Arrington would potentially be a nice fit at outside linebacker in the Dolphins' 3-4 defensive scheme.
  14. The ballpark sandwich will include a hamburger topped with sharp cheddar cheese and two slices of bacon Yummy. all between a "bun" made of a sliced Krispy Kreme Original Glazed donut. Not so yummy.

Just started watching. We look pretty good. Playing with alot of confidence. Lets take a lead into the second half!
  21. I'm gonna take a nap and hopefully when I wake up some more news will be out. If Daunte can be the Daunte of 2004 I would love him in Miami. Daunte Culpepper/Ronnie Brown/Ricky(?) Chris Chambers/Randy McMichael That's a possible top 5 offense. AHEAD: MIN close to trading Culpepper On espnews. Maybe I'll stay up.
  22. that he believes the Vikings will trade Daunte Culpepper within the next 24 hours. He said the top two teams to get him are the Raiders and Dolphins with the Raiders being the favorite of the two. No matter where he goes(Raiders or Dolphins), it will be very interesting.
  23. Sam Adams is also said to be meeting with the Dolphins today.
  24. We have come out flat in the second half.
  25. Dwyane Wade out again and the Heat are losing 46-35. Derek Anderson as a starter 1-3 FG 2 points 6 rebounds He just picked up his third foul.
