  1. Team went from red hot to fucking awful in the blink of an eye.
  2. I noticed they did have a shuttle going from the stadium back to the Miami Brightline station, but the timing didn't make sense to me, the train was to leave at 4:45, the games starts at 1:40. That seemed to be cutting it super close if we were going to see the whole game. So I picked a train leaving a couple hours later. We'll be Ubering back and forth from our hotel and the stadium. We'll see how it goes. Should be fun, the team has 3 games and 4 days to turn this shit around.
  3. Haven't been to a game since pre-Covid. And this will be the first time I'm taking my son to a Marlins game, he just turned 6 and he's jacked about it. I picked the perfect time to see them, right? (haha) This will also be the first time I'm utilizing the Brightline. I live in Orlando, so that's a pretty harrowing drive, the price was fairly reasonable, so we decided what the hey. Got a hotel, we're going to see both Saturday and Sunday's games. Anybody have any experience using Brightline to get to games?
  4. That moment when you remember you are a Marlins fan.
  5. I know they decided to baby him - Immediately injured.
  6. Max Meyer to the DL. Fuck me.
  7. Conine’s HR is our only run of the game so naturally pinch hit him with the worst hitter on the team.
  8. Get Craig out of the booth.
  9. Real disappointing end to a great 1st half.
  10. I like Paredes, but Houston is only 2 games out in the division. Teams that are for sure sellers: Giants, Rockies, Mets, Angels, Royals Maybe: Reds, Athletics, Tigers, Orioles I wonder what it would take to get Zack Gelof from the Athletics.
  11. Totally forgot about Junk. Yeah, it may take multiple injuries to get Braxton back to the majors.
  12. I would stick with Phillips. If it were me, I'd pair Garrett with Gusto 3 or 4 innings each and if one was clearly better than the other that guy would get more innings.
  13. Start warming Bachar!
  14. Let's pump the brakes a little bit. Based on record we're the 9th best team in the MLB, and currently would not make the playoffs. It's been a great run, no doubt, but there are still plenty of holes that need to be filled by Bendix and company at the deadline, if we really want to call ourselves one of the best teams in baseball. And like I said, we babied Eury for years and years and he still ended up getting an injury. He had 92 pitches. To not even let him get to the most pitches he's ever pitched (102 pitches) when he has a perfect game. It's fucking embarassing. And I firmly believe Bachar's performance had to do with the odd situation he got thrown into.
  15. I’d be interested in breaking down how many injuries to pitchers occur at 100+ pitches or directly after throwing 100+ pitches. I just can’t recall any instances where it’s like the manager clearly got him hurt by leaving him in too long. I can think of plenty of instances where a pitcher who is being consistently thrown over 100+ pitches eventually gets hurt, but obviously that is not the case with Eury right now. Like others have said, we babied him in the minors, during his rookie year and he still needed TJ.
  16. Some things are more important than being safe with a pitcher. If it's a no-hitter, absolutely take him out. This is a perfect game, this is going down in baseball history. It's a pussy ass move. A perfect game would light a fire under this team's ass, and huge for the fanbase as well.
  17. Jesus.
  18. Absolutely pathetic.
  19. Holy hell, removing Perez in a perfect game with 6 hitters to go, is weak fucking sauce.
  20. I miss June.
  21. Take the series.
