How about this one guys?
How about cutting Theo a little slack. The pressure to win in Boston is enormous. Second only to New York. He can't take a squirt without someone writing about it. What he did in this pressure cooker can't be overlooked. The guy did a fantastic job. And after doing a fantastic job he gets cheaped. Does he react like a jerk? No, he reacts like a guy who has been down this road many times (which he has not). I'd say he is a class act and that John Henry is going to wish he hadn't been such a piker. For Chrissakes John, he earned the money. You drop millions on bums that don't give a rats ass about anything but themselves. Theo comes along and does an absolute supurb job and you cheap him. Whoever finally gets Theo Epstein is going to get one of if not THE best GM's around. We should be so lucky to land him.

Burnett trash talking
AJ got his chance this year to show us what he had learned. The results? Down the stretch, when it counted, when the Marlins could have taken the wild card, he CHOKED. No other way to describe it. He had his chance and blew it. "Oh, I can't pitch or be comfortable without my former pitching coach around." All he had to do AFTER the choke, to get his 50g's bonus was to keep his mouth shut. He knew he was gone. He knew Jack was gone. There was nothing to gain by opening his big fat pie hole and whining. There was however money to be lost. What did he do? He took the immature route and ran his yap. Great stuff? You bet, some of the best stuff in the majors. But a 10 cent brain with great stuff will get you a 49-50 record after all this time. And then burning the Marlins and their fans after he leaves, not the sign of a real professional. Go luck AJ, I hope you grow up some day. You can't be 18 forever.

Most obscure former Marlins player ?
Nobody has mentioned Archie Corbin 17games in 99 Nate Teut 2 games in 02 Willie Banks 9 games in 95 Chad Allen 12 games in 03 Mike Gulan 6 games in 01 or my vote for most obscure, Benito Baez, 8 games in 01. Can anyone actually say the were there to see Benito Baez pitch? I think not.

Girardi guarded
Fredi !Fredi! Fredi! All I heard last year was whining from the "lippy latins" on the club about how the old man didn't relate. He lost the team, at least by midseason if not earlier. Now Jeffery, you have a chance to remedy this by going with Fredi. He's latin, he knows South Florida, he knows the Marlins certainly better than Yankee Joe, he'll be cheaper, and he can speak directly to the large South Florida latin population and tell them to get off their butts ,quit being front runners, and get out to JRS and support the team. Last but not least, he's earned it with his MANY years of service with the Braves (learning from Bobby Cox, the best) and mostly with the Marlins. THIS GUY DESERVES IT, not Yankee Joe and his Yankee retreads.
