  1. I have not kept up here much this season, so forgive me for my lack of knowledge on this subject, but what has happened to these two recently? Cody Ross always seemed like a spark-plug kind of guy and Borchard would come up with some timely hitting now and then. If they are hurt, it is understandable, but to my knowledge they are still on the roster. All I know is that our hitting sometimes borders on pathetic. Seems like we could use some help. What's the deal. Thanks
  2. Who could forget Darrell Whitmore's great catch tumbling over the right field-foul line fence? How' bout Rich Rodriquez? Pretty decent reliever for a little while.
  3. Here in SW Fl. (Naples), the Twins and Yanks are on. Looks like Sports bar may be an option. They should have espn alternate on Direct TV.
  4. Watching Sportscenter, it is just Cubs, Cubs, Cubs. How great Prior was, the no-call fan-interfearance, the unfortunate Gonzalez error, etc..... Not once yet have I heard them say anything about the Marlins having heart, and never giving up. Bobby Valentine just said that Kerry Wood has to put the Marlins out tomorrow. I mean, it's like nobody wants the Marins to even be in the post-season. Stuart Scott when describing the Mordaci 3-run double, didn't even say who hit the ball, just kind of disbelieving that the play happened. Of course, the first post-game ESPN interview is with the LOSING mgr. of the game, not the winner. Everything is about how the Cubs LOST this game (which there is a lot of truth to), but I have still yet to hear any credit given to the Marlins. Unbelieveable.
  5. Gee, how things change! Just a few short months ago, or so it seems, Mike B. seemed to be the darling of Marlin fans (here especially), for not being super negative, and critical like Labastard, and others. I have not read him in a while. What has brought about this sudden change of heart?
  6. I just can not understand why the Marlins pitchers are injured so much. Is it a conditioning thing? Is it just plain old bad luck? Whatever it is, it just seems to happen ewery year.
  7. Sounds like some bad blood brewing. Too bad we are not in the AL East. That would be a great rivalry.
  8. Couldn't we have re-signed Kevin and then traded him? Was that an option?
