I rarely comment on players, but DAMN he is driving me crazy. I've never seen a player swing at so many bad pitches and his defense is horrid! I think he really needs to be traded.

I've been to several spring training games in the past week and I've gotta say Cantu's bat is great! His defense is what scares me. About a week ago against the Orioles he made two real bad plays. I think if he really improves his defense he's got the job! On the other end of the spectrum Castillo has made some terrific plays on defense. In particular he made several excellent plays the other day against the Nats. But as everyone has said, his bat has been silent!

I agree. Unless Scott Olsen has an amazing spring. Hopefully Wiley will work wonders on him!

I agree, if Cabrera is going to go...which sadly looks like it may happen. We might as well get the best players available in return. Kinda like another Beckett/Lowell for Sanchez/Ramirez deal. We can't just sit here and cry when he does get traded, or signs with another team when he is a FA becuase the Marlins can't afford him.

Hello all, I keep on hearing topics about Cabrera being traded and all, if that does happen. What are some affordable options the Marlins have for 3rd? Any cheap Free Agents? Are any guys down in the minors potentially dominent at the MLB level? I know Robert Andino is being groomed at 2nd base and SS but could he possibly move to 3rd? Also what about Uggla? He isn't the best defender but it maybe worth a look at during ST. Also if the Marlins resign Boone he could possibly be a starter at 3rd in my opinion. What do you guys think??
