February 10, 200818 yr If the sinker is working in the spring , I'd like to see Mitre. Olsen hasn't learned how to harness his adrenaline. Pitching on Opening Day... forget it. I would be shocked if A. Miller pitches that day.

I'd like to see either Miller cause of the hype, or Sergio Mitre cause of the type of season he had with us last year, he deserves the nod.

February 11, 200818 yr Screw it, I'm going with a long shot. Rick VandenHurk will be your Florida Marlins Opening Day starter! Put it in the books. Now, I know it's beyond long shot, but if I'm right, I'll point back at this and how great I am. If, most likely, I am wrong, everyone will forget about this anyways.

If he stays out of trouble during the spring, and has decent results, the mgt will want to send him a message of confidence to be one of the team leaders. Mitre is a question mark, pending what the real story is behind his personal issues. We do not know what that is and it should stay behind closed doors-but I am sure we will find out.

February 11, 200818 yr IMO it will be Olsen or Mitre. Remember two years ago everyone talked about Olsen like he was going to be opening day starter every year, hopefully this is the year he lives up to his promise.
