Jeff has been in the AL for a few years now and as we all saw he slumped at first then heated up when it mattered most. looking at his career numbers i would like to get all of our resident "EXPERTS" predictions/opinions on how 9er's season will end up. SI.com has career stats looking at the #s it is very reasonable to expect .275-.290 15-25hr and RBI can range from 80-100 depending on where he hits in the order. the real question is whether those #s are worthy of being a 1b? :whistle

Furman, basically rap or "hip hop" as the MAN wants us to call it :lol is the evolution of the original jazz and the basics will never change or die out. the thing that worries me is when talented rappers ( like 50 ) realize that the more you give the 14 year old white girls that watch TRL poppy jump rap songs the more money you get. now dont get me wrong 50 is NOT the worst of doing this but no matter what anyone sais he is aiming at making his money now because you never know how long you can last.

you may have a point of YOUR grandkids not listening but seriously the basics of rap have been along alot longer then people realize and it has evolved over the generations. it will keep living and hopefully get alot better then the sorry state of "PoP rap" that we are suffering through now.

you can listen to a country song from a few years ago (say Somethin Like That by Tim McGraw) and everyone will sing along. Listen to a rap song from a couple years ago (say I'm Real by Ja Rule and Jennifer Lopez) and everyone groans. ok, lets get one thing straight buddy. Ja Rule is not the type of rapper REAL hip hop fans like. i am actually a fan of both hip hop and rock i keep an open mind on all music but i am the first to say something sucks ( Ja Rule ) if you truly think rap will fade out like disco im sorry.

im not very big on the whole exploitng a dead artist thing BUT i cant say i havent enjoyed listening to quite a few of the new after death releases. and the new songs produced by "b rabbit" for the movie are really good.

dont mind furman, if it doesnt have the phrase Hee Haw in it hes not buying the CD...
