  1. I have seen better.. Does anyone remember in 1997 when we were playing the Rockies at JRS?...It was the bottom of the 9th,Marlins down by one, bases loaded, with Bonilla at the plate. He fouled off about 10 2-strike pitches before hitting a game-winning Grand Slam that was amazing.

^Redman more than likely since it is his turn in the rotation. My 200th post! That's What I thought.... *Congrats on 200th post* :cheers

We can do this...The Braves did it in 96' I belive, and the Indians almost pulled it off in the 97' World Series by winning game 6 and they came three outs away from winning game 7 but we all know how that one turned out...When we win tonight there will be an overwehlming(Sp?)amount of pressure on the Cubs...BTW who will be starting game 7? Redman,Willis......Mabye even Beckett?
  4. I have said this before, the key things for us to gain victory today will be for Luis and JP to get on base so that Pudge Rodriguez and Cabrera can drive them in...We also need to be very aggresive on the basepaths and do anything we can to get men in scoring position.Pavano will also need to rise to the occasion and most of all the guys need to believe they can win.
  5. Yes, but some of you want to get Encarnacion into the lineup the only way that would happen is by taking Jeff out I think that you change the order of the lineup a bit but stay with the same starters for game 6. No,we could take out,Gonzalez or Lee.
  6. I think you have to keep Lee and Alex in the linep for their Defense and also find a way to keep both Lowell and Cabrera in the lineup. Conine should be given a day off. He's getting over powered by the Cub's righthanders, but he's making lefties pay. Meanehile Juan has being hiting only hanging curves and Prior and Wood dont make to many mistakes. It'll be interesting to see what Mackeon does. I wouldn't....My man,Conine is seeing the ball very well, being patience and getting hits (Even showing his power today.)I don't know about Lee....We may need to out-hit the Cubs. If we have a nice lead Lee can come in as a defensive replacement. I would bench him....Start 9er at first.
  7. Possibly Conine starting at 1st and Hollandsworth in Left? Um.....why? You just put Cabs in left if you want Conine at first. And this lineup won, you don't tinker with a winner. Cabs would play SS.
  8. Any thoughts on the starting Lineup? We did win today, however it was mostly because of Beckett shuting down the Cubs offense. I would like to see Cabrera at short and Encarnacion back in Rightfield. Possibly Conine starting at 1st and Hollandsworth in Left?
  9. Redman has being solid in the postseason and Pavano can give 6 or 7 strong innings. We're going to need our pen to step up. We could easily be leading the series right now 3-2 if our pen would have held on in game 3. Everyone will need to step up...The most important keys will be for Castillo and Pierre to get on base so that Pudge or Cabrera can drive them in to score...When this happens we win most of our games. It may be hard for Pavano to out-pitch Prior but with the momentum the Marlins have gained I believe he can... And I don't want to be reminded of game 3.
  10. Sunday, October 12 Livan Hernandez holds the Braves to three hits and beats Greg Maddux, 2-1, in Game 5. Bobby Bonilla goes 3-for-3 for the Marlins. From:Baseballlibrary.com
  11. It's also been six years since that date....So it was also on the same day of the week,Sunday.
  12. Yes...The Marlins need to carry this momentum to Chicago. In Chicago the keys will be to get those lead-off men (Pierre,Castillo) on base so Pudge and or Cabs can drive them in. It's gonna be tough for our guys to out-pitch Prior and Wood but I believe.
  13. Here is how I would like the Uniforms:Examples Home: Away: Alternate 1: Alternate 2:
  14. Conflict of interest:Umpires are Cubs fans.
  15. Come on Conine, you need to get that runner over....1 out He very well could have if not for yet another crap umpire.
  16. Oh my God....Damn Umpires!
  17. It's impossible for us to lose...
  18. Strike that idiot out Cy Young.
  19. Bonehead.....That's what steroids do to you.
  20. He got lucky with that 1-0 pitch to Lee....He could have crushed that pitch.
  21. Damn! Zambrano got lucky again.
  22. Score some runs here...This game may be over, with how well Beckett has pitched today.
