have u ever been to gainsville? theres nothing to do there, thats why everyone goes to the games, if miami were gainsville with the same population as miami, wed sell out everygame in every sport, we have beaches clubs , shops strips, ladies, good weather, sports isnt always on the mind of everyone, maybe it is in st louis, and in gainsville and Tallahasee, michigan, penn, because theress nothing to do in town but go to the game

Pudge not ruling out re-signing!
yea but u lose the contracts of juan e, luis castillo lee, lowell, gonzalez, they should have enough money to sign guererro at least, vlad doesnt reely ask for alot anyway, he rresigned with montrael, reman, beckett, pavano shouldnt be to much, willis, then either resign burnett or penny,

Pudge not ruling out re-signing!
decent defencively, i remember a few weaks ago he saved the game with a great block on a wild pitch by fox, that ended up winning the game cuz there was a man on third and the fish didnt score the next inning, it was in extras

LeBatard Article
when you go to boston or new york, EVERYONE is either a yankee or a redsox fan, in south florida, its hard to find a baseball fan in general, then its even harder to find a marlin fan, the main reason is no one liked the marlins to begin with

Vlad G. the BIG fish on the free agent market
I say we sign Guerrero or try to in the offseason. If we don't resign Pudge (9.3 mil, replaced by Castro), Lee (4.25, replaced by Conine), Lowell (3.7 mil, replaced by Cabrera), Encarnacion (3.45 mil, replaced by Guerrero), and Burnett (2.5, not playing anyways), that's 23.2 million + off right there. That's enough to give Guerrero 15 mil and resign Castillo, and still be less than we are this year. Also, we're paying Hampton some cash to play for Atlanta. Guerrero might not even be 15 mil with the way contracts are predicted to go. Call up Abraham Nunez and our lineup is: Pierre Castillo Guerrero Conine Cabrera Castro Nunez Gonzalez. That lineup looks pretty good to me and is less money than trying to resign the guys we have now. We would also have the same starting 5, which is working really well for us now. All of those hitters are young, with the exception of Conine. Stokes will be ready by the time Conine retires anyways. However, if we make the playoffs/go far in the playoffs this year, we might want to try our best to keep our team the same. Comments? Is this a good idea? Have I messed up somewhere? Is it possible? pretty good post on the espn board by JNichols42887

Lee Leaving?
he does everything better than lee so that makes up for 20 SB

Lee Leaving?
Could be? Almost every pop fly he hits into CF is a HR elsewhere. This park robs him of what me and Bill Robinson have estimated is at least 10 HR's a year, and possibly even a . 280-. 290 average. Leewill definately earn every penny of his $7-9 Mill where ever he goes. I GUARANTEE you that he is an ELITE 1B anywhere else. How many other 1B have the ability/potential to hit 40 HR's, . 280, 100 RBI, . 400 OBP, steal 20-30 bases, and win a gold glove? NONE. todd helton
