I was watching that Cubs game and fell asleep. They went 13 innings. Hopefully they've tired each other out. The Cubs have a more difficult schedule going forward than any of the other WC teams. We just need to break away somehow. A sweep tonight would be huge but the Marlins need to make sure they don't let the Mets or Pirates play spoiler. They'll be motivated to do so.

Well they just made up that series loss by taking the Braves series. If they sweep it'll be like they won that series AND the Braves series. I don't think anyone really imagined that. This team does play better at home, so we'll hopefully have better results when Milwaukee visits

For all we know there are life forms living in Mars's core, which we haven't gotten to. Also we assume aliens will be more advanced, but there's also the possibility of low IQ mouthbreathers out there.

I keep looking at the same damn standings and sos pages. Very exciting stuff. If we take 2 of 3 from Atlanta, sweep one of the 4 remaining series, and then win the other 3, we will end up 10 over .500 and likely in the second WC spot. We can afford to probably drop 2 series as long as we get one sweep. This seems very doable. These next two games will probably set the mood for the rest of the season, but I guess at this point you could say the same for every series.
