Hanley decided to the remove the wrapping, wow is he smart. It's like he WANTS us to hate him. :| I'm getting annoyed by his stupidity of late. Punch a fan, don't take medicine for infection, don't keep hand wrapped ... damn it. I just don't understand his thinking regarding anything anymore. :|

Greg Dobbs is a pinch hitter and spot starter. Do you realize we could get similar production from any number of players in this league? He is not a "key" piece for this team. We suck. He'd be nice if we were good, but we are not. I'd trade him in a heartbeat. Much harder to find a starting caliber position player than it is to find a solid pinch hitter. I beg to differ that you could get similar production for a player spot starting and as a pinch hitter unless your talking about Rugs. Who else could we pick up that would provide professional at bats and help off the bench as much as Dobbs has in two years with the Marlins? I would trade him if an offer came up that would allow us to get a starter but otherwise, there is no need to move him. I find it odd that people point out Dobbs when he has been nothing but a hard worker and class act since he's been here. He just does his job. Guys like Dobbs and Ty Wigginton are always available. Dobbs has done a solid job, but I've always subscribed to the fact that pinch-hitters and spot starters are extremely expendable when you are rebuilding and trying to unload players for younger talent and depth. Gregg Dobbs is perfect for a team that is going to the playoffs. We are not, so I'd rather have someone with upside get those at-bats. I honestly don't care if he stays or not and I'm not looking to shop him just for the record. Just my view on Dobbs-like players. I hear you about Dobbs being perfect for a team going to the playoffs. It makes sense, and yea it's obviously not like the Marlins are going to be pushing for the playoffs anytime soon. I definitely understand what you're saying from a rebuilding stand point.

Doesn't matter. He sucks ass. He's the reason for all of our problems so who cares? Finally we have some leadership at 3B tonight. Hopefully we trade him and take on Carl Crawford's contract in a week or so. Anything is better than Hanley. 100 % agree.

The Hanley for Upton thing is funny. I find it funnier that some people think Greg Dobbs is a "keeper" because every team needs a great pinch hitter. Brilliant! What would be the point of getting rid of him? To lose talent? He also spot starts and is a decent hitter. Not to mention one of the top hitters in the league with RISP. Brilliant!

Hell even Tommy notices things, the other day he said "too many moving parts" and it's true, he needs to take a step back and figure things out, unfortunately for him time is running thin. Even Tommy? You mean the Tommy that has been involved in MLB since 1966? That Tommy? What does he know, he's just our goofball color analyst. He certainly couldn't know as much about baseball and a hitter's swing than a bunch of dedicated internet forum fans. The answer is in bold, but then again I'm sure he knows nothing about baseball. :swoon

Idk how JJ's going to feel about starting 162 games. JJ needs to string together some nice starts, I think he'll bounce back in the second half To be honest I think the whole JJ thing may be more agitating than the Hanley one. Maybe thats just me I always give pitchers more value than position players, even still give him more time, he didn't forget how to pitch but he was out of the game for a very significant amount of time.

i agree 100% that we need to get rid of hanley, bell and lomo but, for crawford? come on, we can do better than that, and do you all know the sad part about all this? all this marlins players will perform like allstars with their new team....it always happens And if Hanley does that so be it, we can then start looking to coaching as one of the problems but if not and he sucks with his new team we can say we moved him at the right time. So, because of Hanley, everyone else is underperforming. It's not our hitting coach's fault. Got it. The ONE constant with every hitter on this team is Eduardo Perez. Just watching The Franchise last night, Ozzie worked with Morrison on his hitting, and it was working up to the break. OZZIE. Not Eduardo. Morrison was horrid for all but that little streak before the break. Hanley's leg kick is shorter now, he just needs to work on the long swing. Meh, really. The difference between Hanley and everyone else is that he has been declining for more than a year now and nothing is changing, as a franchise you can only wait so long for things to turn around before you have to make a move and turn the page. It's disappointing because at this rate he will probably be one of the biggest drop offs baseball has seen in a while, I'm not saying the biggest drop off but one of them if nothing else. it's weird and unfortunate but thus is life. Everyone thats a Marlins fan wants to see him succeed the problem is he's not. Oh and yea excuse the fan base for wanting so much out of Hanley but thats what happens when you rake like he did in the early part of his career, it's not like it's fun but when do we simply draw the line and say enough is enough. Baseball is a sport where you are paid to perform, he's not. His past off the field issues obviously don't help him and i think he's matured a lot over the years he seems much happier but that doesn't equate to a good baseball player sadly. When people (myself) started posting things like Eduardo could be the problem everyone was like, definitely not. So I guess we will find out one way or another in time, problem is he was declining before that. Hayes is jacking around this inning. He didnt even try for the pop up on pitch one. Maybe cause there was a f***ing net in his way? It didn't look like that though where the ball was actually, he could have made more of an effort, I thought the same thing.
