This game is over and I'm taking an extended absence from the Marlins for a while I am boycotting and may skip the July 2nd game in Milwaukee. 1-8 on the home stand remember when we were saying how happy we would be to be .500. 3-9.

But bro, what if they gave you a sedative and put you asleep and pried your eyes open and then performed the surgery... ok maybe that wouldn't work, perhaps xanax would work. I heard some rumor that laser surgery has a 50% chance of failure so it would be like the eye doctor saying, ohhhh this might not work and you might go blind, how reassuring.

Gaby Sanchez was hitting .275 then had a 4-4 game and went over .300 in triple A it was all a trick nothing has changed he lost whatever he had and he needs to learn how to properly swing a bat fwiw.

I hate hate hate to say this but I'm slightly envious of the Washington organization now. I've been envious for a few years now. I like the way they do things, them and Tampa Bay. You can see the results. Although I do agree with you and hate Tampa Bay maybe even more (stealing Marlins spot light) both franchises sucked for years. The Marlins don't even suck they have just been average for years. Remember that one year we almost made the wild card but Houston beat us out in the last few games, ahh I don't want to remember.

7 games back. My how things have changed, soon it will be ten though, team is just mediocre all the time.

In all honesty besides Reyes the team is exactly the same and maybe even slightly worse as far as the batters are performing (side stanton), add that in with better pitching and you have an 81 win team, nothing less nothing more. It sucks but thats really how I see it.

When you graduate from college you then pursue a career as an umpire and scout, it's heaven here, well I'm not there yet, but sitting next to a Marlins scout and getting to know him always helps, nice guy. (I'm not in Miami)

I do not dig Rug so far. I'm glad we got him for cheap from the Astros since he is far better right now than most of the struggling bottom half of the lineup, but he is a short term stop gap until the that half of our lineup starts to show some life. However, I do like what I've seen from Donovan Solano so far. The kid is on fire, and Ozzie should play him a lot more. Granted, he's only had 24 at bats, but he has shown a lot of promise in that brief sample. if Solano keeps up his impressive performance, we are going to have to start a Donovan Solano man crush thread. He might not hit monster home runs, but he hits a lot!!! Rug is old but I'll take him the last few year (s) hes productive.

Guillen wasn't lying: he really does love Solano. Who wouldn't love a guy hitting .455 with great defensive skills? ...

This is what happen when you recycle the same players oner and over, when is the FO going to go out and get a couple of good players. Yeah, when are we going to go out and be major players on arguably the best hitter in the game and sign a total of +10.1 wins amongst three guys? I'm convinced Heath Bell is a serial killer, or should it be cereal killer? Sorry I couldn't resist the pun force.

Ozzie Guillen really isn't that good and he is really quite a bit overrated. No person in their right mind would continue to start a batter hitting .150 day after day after day, there are other better options and the fact that they are not being used doesn't give me a lot of trust in knowing Ozzie will make the right decisions down the stretch. The same thing can be said for the whole Bell situation when he kept sending him out there when clearly there was a very small chance he was going to help the Marlins win the game. Thankfully (and oddly) I think the majority of those games like 90% we ended up winning but we could be a lot farther out if it were not for a little luck. That being said Bell has looked better, I'm hesitant to use a lot in anything regarding bell except his weight. And for the record no, I don't like Perez and I think we need someone new, but everyone has their own opinions on him.

I love how people on here are so against the possibility of a player surprising them and actually playing above or below their supposed level, despite general consensus. Bonifacio used to be absolutely hated here. People swore he'd never be good and should be sent down and forgotten, citing some analysis they probably got off a website and have no real knowledge of - and now those people have shut the f*** up. Chris Coghlan was god, and when he started blowing balls out there, everyone gave him the benefit of the doubt for a year before realizing he had only ever had one hot streak - and now he's despised on here. I'm not saying to go ape-sh*t every time a player gets called up and has a good week, but don't pretend you're 110% certain their career is going to follow some sort of a pattern either. That's just as much bulls***. +1 as is the case on this board.
