Mr. Man
Well all I got to say is if this is not a situation where you fire the hitting coach the FO has other motives dictating their decisions other than being the best team they can be. Hotcorner
seriously, leading off the game with a triple and no one can even put the ball in play afterwards. and what in god's name was Espada doing sending Reyes home on that Hanley single up the middle? Reyes was out by 50 feet. Stanton looked terrible tonight anyway so likely wouldn't have mattered but that was awful. the only thing I can imagine going on with Coghlan is they want to give the guy one last shot of regular at-bats before they finally just give up on a former rookie of the year... He did make a dynamite catch in center, I'll give him that. Dunno how long you can keep throwing him out there though.

DcFishFan
Coghlan wouldn't fetch a box of toothpicks at auction at this point.

MiamiFan95
Perez needs to be held accountable for this offense's struggles at some point. I realize that guys like Gaby and Buck aren't world beaters, but Jesus they're not this terrible either.
AeroFishOne
Does no one understand we have had three hitting coaches in the last three years and y'all want to make it a fourth. At what point does it fall on the players. Evidentally never. Good points of the game: Lomo , Jose , Buehrle and Cogs catch.
Bret Hart
CF : CC will go down to minor when Boni is back. Also we have Ruggiano. 1st : LoMo gets back to 1st. Gaby will take a spot starter against lefty. (Definitely, This season will be last season for Gaby Sanchez as a marlin.) C : No Alternative. Admin
I'm willing to give Coghlan a pass today for his continued slump since his catch saved 2 runs. That's the same as a 2 run double in the end. Kept us in the game, unfortunately it wound up not mattering though.
canada-marlin24
I was traveling so I didn't have a chance to watch the game but I just had a feeling we lost a close game. I get home and I see 2-1. There goes any momentum as the nationals win putting us 6 back!! Taking the series tomorrow is a must and man do I feel bad for buehrle. BroncoBob27
Lead off triple, then 3 Ks. I changed channels. But it was a chuckle when either Rich or Tommy said, "Where's Solano when you need him?"

Miami_Marlins_fan
Marlins Jinxed us again. That is getting so old by now. We are not the Cubs who are still whining about that man, even though it wasn't his fault that the team lost because the Cubs are just more pathetic than us. Marlins said a dumb thing at the wrong time, but it is not his fault that our team is so terrible that we can't win more than a single game. When you turned 35, did you mom just throw you out the house because your old? No, she held onto you, because your all she's got. You just can't give up on something because it's old, if that was the case grandma and grandpa would have been sent back home on Christmas.
